I wonder if Jeffery is wearing three pairs of reading glasses when he does his oil paintings? I’m going blind just thinking about painting this small! This is his oil painting from a couple of days ago and I chose it because I tried painting a salt shaker just last week…. I think it’s time to have one of my “bad paintings, large bonfire” parties.
Here is what I like about this Jeffery Hayes Oil Painting.
- 1. He is using what I consider to be traditional value relationship (full value range) and yet he inserts color within those values that are atypical of a more traditional painting.
- 2. The drawing is outstanding.
- 3. How do you have time to paint something this small and this detailed and still live in the real world?
